Your HOCl generator is a cleaning powerhouse—but like any precision system, it needs regular maintenance to stay at peak performance.
Good news: EcoloxTech systems are low-maintenance by design.
Follow these simple steps and your unit will keep generating high-purity HOCl for years.

Daily / Weekly Quick Check (All Models)

✅ Check additive tank level
✅ Inspect tubing for kinks or buildup
✅ Clean exterior with damp cloth
✅ Monitor concentration levels (FAC test)
✅ Reset error codes if triggered

When to Deep Clean the Electrolysis Cell

Over time, minerals from water and salt can scale up the electrolysis cell, reducing efficiency and lowering ppm output.
Here’s how you know it’s time:

  • FAC output drops noticeably

  • System amperage falls 10% below your set level

  • Error messages appear (Err2/Err3)

How to Perform Maintenance

For E-1200 System [E1200_Operation_Manual]

Step-by-step:

  1. Mix 1,800 mL water + 200 mL HCl (35–37%)

  2. Swap additive tank with this solution

  3. Set flow rate above 16 L/min

  4. Run system for 45–60 minutes

  5. FAC should return to normal. If not, repeat once.

✅ Use only FCC-grade HCl for food contact environments
✅ Wear gloves and goggles during handling

Recommended: Once every 2–3 months depending on usage

For E-300 System [E300_User_manual]

  • Same steps as above but adjust flow to 3–4 L/min

  • Use maintenance formula #3 with HCl as described in manual

  • System will self-clean during runtime

For Eco One [eco-one-manual]

  • No brine tank = no cell scaling

  • Simply rinse the pitcher and lid after each use

  • Run 1 full cycle with just water every 2–3 weeks to flush internal components

  • Keep dry when not in use

Additive Tank Tips

  • Always use food-grade salt (NaCl)

  • No iodine or anti-caking agents

  • For better HOCl conversion: use vinegar or HCl formulas

  • Keep undissolved salt at the tank bottom for consistent brine saturation

See full additive formulas in your system’s manual:

System Error Codes to Watch For

Code Meaning Solution
Err1 Low flow Check inflow water pressure + tubing
Err2 Low current Replace additive or perform cell cleaning
Err3 High current Check brine concentration and cell status
Err4 Low voltage Call support if persistent
Err5 Fan issue Ensure ventilation + contact service

Maintenance Kit Essentials

  • Chlorine test paper (SKU: P-1048)

  • FAC photometer (SKU: P-1047)

  • Food-grade salt (28–32% saturation)

  • FCC or tech-grade HCl

  • Replacement tubing, filters, and cell parts available at  ecoloxtech.com
