EcoloxTech 1200

A floor-standing skid producing 1,200 litres of hypochlorous acid per hour. The system that replaces a chemical supply chain in a food plant, a packing house or a ship.

Overview

At 1,200 L/hr the arithmetic changes. A facility consuming that kind of volume is not buying spray bottles — it is receiving pallets, managing a chemical store, running a hazardous-materials programme and absorbing a freight bill that has risen every year. The EcoloxTech 1200 replaces that entire arrangement with a skid, a salt supply and a water connection.

The system feeds a distribution loop rather than a single tap. Wash lines, CIP circuits, fogging networks, footbaths, hose stations and dosing points draw from a common supply at the concentration each application requires.

Designing the installation

  1. Demand mapping — every draw point, its volume, its concentration requirement and its timing across the shift pattern.
  2. Buffer sizing — tank volume that lets 1,200 L/hr continuous production satisfy short peaks well above that rate.
  3. Loop design — pipework, materials, pump selection, pressure at the furthest draw point.
  4. Water pre-treatment — softening sized to the full production rate.
  5. Control and interlocks — level control, concentration monitoring, alarms and integration with existing plant systems.
  6. Validation — baseline and post-implementation environmental swabbing, documented for your HACCP plan.

Production rates

Concentration falls as flow rate rises, so the system is set to the output the application needs. The acidified additive adds hydrochloric acid to the brine, which holds the solution in the hypochlorous acid range and raises the free available chlorine at every flow rate.

2 L/min 450 ppm 620 ppm

The marine case

Ships are the clearest illustration of why onsite generation wins. A vessel carrying disinfectant is carrying weight, volume, hazardous material and a resupply dependency, and a norovirus outbreak at sea cannot be solved by ordering more product.

The full argument — the logistics case, the research on hypochlorous acid, what the 2025 VSP Standards changed and what onsite generation does not fix — is set out in our cruise white paper.

How many E-1200s would you need?

Sizing depends on the concentration you run at — asking for a higher ppm lowers the flow rate. Put your daily volume, target ppm and pH into the HOCl system sizing calculator and it works the unit count out from the E-1200 production tables, including the effect of a buffer tank.
